This is the Final Announcement of the "Fourth International Workshop on
the Extension Project for the J-PARC Hadron Experimental Facility
(HEF-ex 2024)". The workshop will be held at J-PARC on February 19 - 21,
2024. It is organized by Hadron Hall User Association (HUA), and
supported by J-PARC Center, KEK Theory Center, RCNP, and JAEA ASRC.
We have extensively discussed the facility extension project with the
nuclear and high-energy physics communities around the world, as a
series of the HEF-ex workshops, to refine and facilitate the project.
The project was finally selected as a top-priority project to be
budgeted in the KEK mid-term plan (FY2022-26) in KEK-PIP2022 (Project
Implementation Plan) and is about to be realized.
In this workshop, discussions will be continuously devoted to the
physics case that connects both the "present" and the "future" Hadron
Experimental Facility at J-PARC. To this end, this workshop will cover a
wide range of topics in flavor, hadron, and nuclear physics related to
both experimental and theoretical activities being conducted at the
facility as follows:
- S=-1 and -2 hypernuclei
- baryon-baryon and meson-baryon interactions
- meson in nuclei
- baryon spectroscopy
- kaon rare decays
- mu-e conversion
- future facilities and instrumentation

### Banquet and facility tour ###
The workshop banquet is scheduled for the evening of February 20th
(Tuesday) and is anticipated to cost 4,000 yen. Additionally, a facility
tour is planned for the afternoon of the concluding day of the workshop,
February 21st (Wednesday).
### Write-up ###
Since the publication of the 3rd White Paper (2021), several updates
have been made, both theoretically and experimentally. In this workshop,
we would like to collect new ideas as manuscripts and publish them on arXiv.
